We warmly invite you to the Joint Evening organized by DACH-ISMRM, DKFZ and the Erwin L. Hahn Institute for Magnetic Resonance Imaging – a highlight of ISMRM Cape Town 2026!

Join colleagues from the DACH community and beyond for an evening of good company and great conversations!

Both, members and non-members are welcome, but for organizational purposes, registration is required for all participants in advance (free of charge): Registration DACH evening 2026

As in previous years, a limited number of drink vouchers will be available for DACH-ISMRM members and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligibility requires DACH-ISMRM membership and registration via the link above by May 3, 2026 (one week before the event).

We are excited to announce that the Erwin L. Hahn Institute for MRI (ELH) will host this year’s DACH-ISMRM PhD Training at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein in Essen, Germany. The event will take place on February 26–27 and will focus on the topic: “RF Coils and Parallel Transmit Methods (pTx) in UHF MRI.”

The PhD program brings together PhD students and early-career researchers from across the DACH region to engage with leading experts in the field. Participants will gain valuable insights into current developments and future perspectives of UHF MRI technology. Attendance is limited to 20 participants.

We congratulate Dario Bosch on being elected to the DACH-ISMRM board. He succeeds Jürgen Finsterbusch, who will step down at the end of the year 2025. Many thanks to Jürgen for his long-standing service on the board! Following these changes, the roles within the DACH-ISMRM board have been newly assigned, and we are pleased to announce the updated structure starting January 1st, 2026:

hiermit möchten wir Sie zum gemeinsamen Treffen des Arbeitskreises MR der DGMP und DACH-ISMRM am 19. März 2026 von 12:00 bis 18:00 Uhr im Multiscale Imaging Center (MIC), Röntgenstr. 16 in 48149 Münster einladen.

Das Programm wird unter dem Thema „Motion“ und „Safety“ stehen und zusammen mit der Universitätsmedizin Münster organisiert.

Zur weiteren Planung benötigen wir konkret folgende Anmeldungen:

Wir möchten uns für das wirklich gelungene erste gemeinsame Treffen des Arbeitskreises MR der DGMP und der DACH-ISMRM am 25. März 2025 bedanken.

Again, we had a very successful PhD training course in March 2025. This year the event was in Ulm, Germany, on „Translational cardiovascular MR Imaging“ organized by Volker Rasche and his team from the University of Ulm as well as Martin Uecker and his Graz team.

Thank you to all who attended our annual meeting and to all presenters in Tübingen! We did not expect that so many of you would be able to join. The local organizing team Dario Bosch, Dana Ramadan, Felix Glang, and Sebastian Müller did an amazing job running the meeting without delay, with fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and musical entertainment.

Gorter Awards
Also, congratulations to all Gorter finalists for their remarkable presentations! The finalists were: Jonathan Endres, Vanessa Franke, Martin Grashei, Tor Rasmus Memhave, and Niklas Wallstein.

Of course, the three winners of the Gorter deserve special mention:

We are grateful to our Gorter Jury for making this tough decision. All Gorter finalists were great! We would not have been able to select ourselves. The jury members were Prof. Jürgen Hennig, Prof. Laura Schreiber, Dr. Lars Hanson, and Dr. Natalia Petridou.
